Pragma Planning Director presents paper at ISPER

David Worthington – Director of Pragma Planning has been asked to present a paper at the 7th National Seminar on City Regions hosted by the Institute for Spatial Planning and Environmental Research in India.

Director of Pragma Planning – David Worthington has been invited by ISPER to present a paper at their 7th National Seminar being held over the 5th and 6th April in the Hotel Maple Emerald, Rajokri, New Delhi.

The theme for the seminar is “Emerging Frontiers for Spatial Planning: Development of Human Resources for Promoting Real Estate and Property Management” and will run over two days at the beginning of April.

The Seminar will feature the Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary to the Haryana Government’s Industries, Commerce and IT Departments Mr. Y.S. Malik, IAS. It will also feature the publication of a book in Honour of Dr. R.C. Chandna former Professor of the Department of Geography, Punjab University.

Other guests at the Seminar include Adesh Jain of Project Management Associates, JS Ghuman (former Chief Town Planner, Punjab); Professor Ashwani Luthra (GRD School of Planning, Amristar; Professor Jim Berry (School of the Built Environment UUJ) and Tony Mulhall and Ben Elder (RICS, London).

Paper presented by David will be the only paper on Planning and will cover New Urbanism, Place Making and Spatial Planning – the grid as a universal structure of urbanism and urbanization. It will also reference evidence based spatial planning and sustainable development with best practice from the Planning System in the UK and will include case studies from Northern Ireland, England and Channel Islands gathered from nearly 20 years experience in the planning profession.

It is an excellent opportunity for David to further his international profile and share his experiences in the UK with the delegates at this highly influential and nationally important seminar in the national capital region of one of the largest and fastest growing economies in the world.
